At 4:39 a.m., police observed a Saturn commit numerous traffic violations at 28th Street and Prospect Avenue, officers said. After initiating a traffic stop, police found Dontae Black, the passenger, to be in possession of a a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun loaded with seven bullets, four of which were hollow-points, officers said. The handgun was reported stolen from Hollywood, Florida, police said.
Police also found Black to be in possession of a substantial quality of cocaine, officers said. The vehicle was impounded for being unregistered, police said.
Black was charged with receiving stolen property, possession of a handgun for an unlawful purpose and other weapons and drug offenses .
